Jay Ruf joined First Scout Realty Advisors in 2002, after six years at one of Kansas City’s largest full service commercial real estate firms. During that six year tenure, Jay was recognized as the firm’s “Rookie of the Year”, and received The Silver Award as the firm’s second largest producer in 2001, and completed the largest transaction (valued in excess of $73 million) in company history prior to his departure. Jay has brought the same caliber of drive and success to First Scout. In a similar seven year tenure with First Scout, Jay has completed over one million square feet of office transactions and has the distinction of completing the largest transaction (valued at over $165 million) in First Scout's eighteen year history.

Jay specializes in the representation of large locally based office and industrial corporate clients as well as regional and portfolio clients. He has successfully guided clients such as Burns & McDonnell, QC Holdings, and Sprint PCS with real estate strategies and project implementation on a local and national scope.
