Jay Ruf joined First Scout Realty Advisors in 2002, after six years at one of Kansas City’s largest full service commercial real estate firms. During that six year tenure, Jay was recognized as the firm’s “Rookie of the Year” in 1997 and received The Silver Award as the firm’s second largest producer in 2001. Jay was also recognized for completing the largest transaction in company history valued at more than 70 million dollars.

Jay specializes in tenant representation services for large local office and industrial clients as well as regional and national portfolio clients. He has successfully completed significant local transactions for organizations like QC Holdings, Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, and the Greater Kansas City Automobile Dealers’ Association. Additionally, Jay has successfully guided Burns & McDonnell with strategies and project implementation relating to its real estate portfolio throughout the U.S. Jay has also had the pleasure of representing retail users such as Sprint PCS and LatteLand on a local and regional basis. Jay has completed transactions in 19 states.

Jay received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree and his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Kansas in 1995.
